Buses operate from 2 or more of the following lots (call (252) 968-2769 for the specific lot for an event): *Route 54 West-Carrboro Plaza Shopping Center *Route 54 East-Park and Ride Lot adjacent to Firday Continuinf Education Center *Route 15-501 South-Southern Village Park and Ride Lot between Culbreth and Dogwood Acres Rds. (Return trips begin immediately after the event and continue for one hour). For *select* events,Tar Heel Express shuttles run beginning 1.5 hours prior to the start of the event. Cart transportation is available from the lot to the Center before events, and after events once the lots are vacated.

Handicapped parking is available on a first come, first served basis in the lot across the street from the Center. Parking Fees: $5 per car,$10 per limo/small RVs,$20 for buses/large RVs,$25 for charters (there is an additional fee for charters and buses call the Center for arrangements). Onsite parking may be limited, especially during events (during basketball games, all lots around the Center are reserved). During wekday events,Skipper Bowles Drive will be closed to through traffic starting at 6pm.

This causes a constant blocking of view if play is going on.During events, traffic around the Center may be restricted. The section splits just a few rows in front of these seats which means anyone sitting above you will be walking by you as they go to and from their seats. "People Walk in Front" (Section 219A) - ★ ★.The video board blocks all the other videoboards so you can't see any replays, stats, or even the score! I went the entire game not knowing what the score was or how much time was left. "No Score Available" (Section 220) - ★ ★.However, for big games, there will be TVs showing the stadium feed directly in front of you. The middle to lower rows of the upper level corner are some of our favorite seats at Dean Smith Center, as they are affordable and provide a great view of the game. Note that the very top few rows will be behind the scoreboard, and you will not be able to see the scoreboards in the arena.

With several sections to choose from, if you're looking for some cheap seats at a UNC game, take a look in the upper level corners first. Coming in at a low price point, these seats provide a mostly unobstructed view of the game since you're not sitting directly behind the basket. One of the best values at Dean Smith Center is definitely the upper level corner sections.
